Accommodation 2016 - 2017

There is no better way to compliment your study of Spanish language and culture than by living in a Spanish home.  In a home-stay accommodation, you will witness and participate in the daily customs that make life in Granada different than anywhere else.  The cultural norms that you learn about in the classroom will be played out in your living room.  Your vocabulary will expand by leaps and bounds and your communication skills will advance dramatically as you discuss local news, politics, holidays and recipes around the dining table.  All your meals are included and you will share them with the host family (as class and work schedules allow) giving you the opportunity to savour the conversation and the cuisine on a daily basis.  Weekly laundry service is also included and all bath and bed linens are provided.

Students living in a home-stay may live with a couple and their young children, a widowed señora and her adult daughter, or a single working mother and her teenagers.  The composition of host families varies same as that of families around the world. It is likely that you will share a room with another student in the CLM Abroad Program.  It is also possible that there will be an international student in your home from another country. The University of Granada is the number one destination among Erasmus (European study abroad program) students and is a very popular choice among students from North Africa and Asia bringing thousands of international students to Granada each year, many of whom also choose to live with a Spanish family.
